What is National Night Out?
National Night Out is an annual worldwide event that brings together citizens, law enforcement agencies, local officials, and local businesses to increase anti-crime awareness and strengthen community partnerships. In 2008, over 1,000 people joined the police department for our annual celebration. We plan to have emergency vehicle and equipment demonstrations, a custom car show, food, giveaways, and much more at this year’s event.

New in 2009
This year we are working on more creative advertising ideas and outlets to get the message out about National Night Out to everyone in our community. We will also hold a basket raffle to benefit the D.A.R.E. program. We will be working throughout the year to collect these donations. Another much-needed addition is a rain date to help compensate for the unpredictable August weather.
