D.A.R.E. Car

The D.A.R.E. car is a 2000 Ford Crown Victoria that was made available by Chief Joe after it was retired from the duties of a Police patrol vehicle in 2003.

Souderton Auto Body fully restored the body and painted it a brilliant black, Landis graphics put on the final D.A.R.E. graphic designs and logos, and Bergey’s designed its infamous red and blue ground effect lighting that the car features at night on display.

The official D.A.R.E. car of the Franconia Township Police Department won 2nd place at its very first year at the national D.A.R.E. convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

In 2006, D.A.R.E. Officers Timothy Boyle and Dave Klepfer added the newest addition to the car’s amazing graphic art collection. The Retro Bill graphic can now be seen on the back windows of the D.A.R.E. car. This is the 1st D.A.R.E. car in the Nation to sport the official Retro Bill graphics.

In 2007, the D.A.R.E. car got a facelift when Landis Truck Graphic’s updated the D.A.R.E. car’s logos. It was also enhanced in the beginning of May when Pypes Performance Exhaust upgraded the D.A.R.E. car’s exhaust system.

Bergey’s Auto Dealership completely renovated the D.A.R.E. car’s interior. This includes the car’s upholstery, sound and video system, new ground effects lighting, and wheel upgrades. Come out to our National Night Out Celebration and other community events to see the new additions.

The D.A.R.E. car is scheduled to appear at the events listed below. Check back for more listings, and look for it in your neighborhoods. Don’t forget to ask for the special D.A.R.E. car trading card!
