Franconia Township Clean-up Day
Saturday, May 17 – 7-11:45 a.m.
The Franconia Township Board of Supervisors have designated Saturday, May 17, 2008 as Clean-up Day. Franconia Township residents can bring their normal household trash to:
J.P. Mascaro and Sons, Inc. Transfer Station
Lower and Wile Roads
This free service is provided from 7-11:45 a.m. on May 17, however, residents must register.
Prior registration is required, in person, at the Franconia Township Municipal Office during normal weekday business hours between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. beginning Thursday, May 1, 2008. Participants will be required to specify a time and to briefly describe the character of the items to be disposed. The Township will issue a registration ticket for disposing the materials at the transfer station. Participants will enter the transfer station at the Wile Road gate on the date scheduled and will present their registration ticket at the scale house, along with their valid driver’s license that shows a Franconia Township address. Instructions will be provided for disposing the materials at the gate.
For safety and insurance reasons, the Mascaro firm has stated that no children under the age of 18 years will be permitted on-site.
Normal household trash may include old appliances and “white goods,” such as old dishwashers or washing machines. Refrigerators or freezers will not be accepted unless the condenser and coils are removed. Also, any construction debris, such as old roof materials or broken masonry material, grass clippings, motor oil, tires, paint, hazardous materials, and car parts will not be accepted for disposal. |
